WHY WORK WITH US?

OUTCOME ORIENTED

Better is achievable. Through the creation and use of progressive attainable stretch goals, we build self-efficacy for sustained motivation, consistent action, and increased success.

SALUTOGENIC

Instead of focusing on what our clients lack, we show them what they possess and how to use their strengths to achieve a better life and legacy.

CULTURAL RELEVANCE

We outline our services with culture in mind. Our health programming builds from our shared perspective to effectively address community and individual needs.

OUR STORY

Nettye, the founder and owner of Wellness Applied, understands the pain and struggle of maintaining a healthy legacy. She grew up in a culture where unhealth was normalized. Chronic disease was so common, she thought getting hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, and taking multiple medications daily was like gray hair – natural and inevitable signs of aging. She didn’t see the poor health status until her father passed unexpectedly from underestimated chronic diseases when she was 17. In her community, health was not fully understood, valued, expected or pursued. She spent years trying to improve her health, but misinformation and lack of direction simply made it worse. At age 30, she decided it was time to shift the cycle.
